Yes, that’s true, I’ve never been to Chili’s before last night. It was my sister’s birthday this week, so we decided to celebrate at Chili’s (where there’s always a reason to celebrate).
The place never seemed too appealing to me, for even a ‘hot’ flavored bag of chips will make me weep like a 2-year-old. Fortunately, there were a few things without jalapenos or other hot ingredients on the menu.
The venue is pretty spacious and diverse, with an american-diner theme. The lighting could’ve been better, but all in all the couches, the booths, the tables were cool.
I ordered the swiss cheese and mushroom burger, and it was divine. If I had to choose the best burger I’ve had all summer, Chili’s would be the definite answer. The patty was big and juicy, the toppings were fresh and the bread had just the right amount of fluffiness.
The price is fair, averaging a 20$/person for appetizers, drinks and the main dish. Chili’s is definitely on the radar for me in the future.
Rumor has it that Chili’s is one of the best places to watch football games at… So, next Premiere League or Champions League Chelsea match, I’m definitely there.
Verdict: A new favorite of mine
Price: $20/person will even satisfy my appetite
Atmosphere: Diner, though a bit classier
Staff: Very courteous
Food: Fine American cuisine, and for the hot-lovers, I guess you won’t be disappointed one bit
