DJmag Top100 Clubs of 2011: B018 Skyrockets 28 Places, Sky Bar Falls 11, Basement Pulled Out

If you haven’t read “Something You Probably Didn’t Know: Three Lebanese Clubs in DJmag’s Top 100”  please do, it was featured on DJmag.com! =D

B018 (read my review here) was #68 in 2010, and jumped 28 places to become the world’s number FORTY! That’s the second highest ranking for a Middle-Eastern club (second only to the Egyptian branch of the Pacha franchise, Pacha Sharm). The legendary Sky Bar (read my review here), who is fabled to be number one in the world for some reason (please cite the source, I never found one…) tumbled from its impressive 51st position, 11 embarrassing places to become the world’s 62nd best.

The Basement, which was 77th in 2010, is no longer listed of course, after its closure in early 2011. Read my in-depth review here

So, here’s the update for all you lazy people, so you know if someone is lying when they say X is number 1 and Y is number 10. Only two clubs are listed this year which are Lebanese, B018 at #40 and Sky Bar at #62

Check out the DJmag entry for B018 (and to set the record straight, it’s B ZERO EIGHTEEN! You spell it as a ZERO but pronounce it as “O”)
