I noticed several folks posting this on Twitter and Instagram and even Facebook, worried about this woman as they shopped or went to work over the past few days in Beirut Souks. Turns out, the woman is an art installation by famous artist Mark Jenkins.
Jenkins is well-known for his ominous, death-defying and sometimes creepy lifelike installations made usually of plastic wrap. Some of his work is featured in the Beirut Art Center White Wall exhibition. Here are a few shots of his from other places around the world. I think it’s really cool Beirut was one of them!
