Roberto Cavalli Opens Cavalli Caffe in Beirut by Tracy Ghazal

I am definitely not an authority on fashion. However, I have amazing friends who are, and Tracy from Fashion To Tracy is definitely one of them. That’s why she was kind enough to agree to check out what the event and Caffe were all about so I can convey it to you guys here! Below is her review and photos of the event.

“I have to say this; my hands were sweating a lot before arriving to the event. You want to know why? Well first, it’s different from any other fashion event that I attended in my first year of blogging and second it’s the man himself Roberto Cavalli!!!

I arrived at the event at 7:30 PM, it was already crowded and the ambience was truly amazing. I posed on the red carpet before bumping into my friends Cynthia and Lynn. We had a great time, trying out the fashionable and mouthwatering Cavalli desserts and yummy drinks.

DSC05629The event decoration was fabulous. A glittery RCC logo was placed in the middle of the venue outside with a gold flooring along with two big Cavalli frames with candles on each side. Even the DJ booth is super cool! The models selected from Nathalie Fadlallah modeling agency, were dressed by the talented designer Rami El Kadi and they were serving the desserts in a very creative way.

While we were waiting for Mr. Cavalli to arrive, I took a tour inside the caffé. It’s pretty much one word: CAVALLI, from the Zebra and Giraffe printed RC furniture to the colors like gold and I loved the walls that were covered with pictures of the designer with international actors and artists. You can find Cavalli red wine, vodka, chocolate boxes.

At 10:00 PM, celebrities started to arrive like Anabella Hilal and her husband Nader Saab, the famous Lebanese pianist Michel Fadel, TV presenter Carla Haddad among others.

Finally, Roberto Cavalli was there. I was lucky enough to follow him and to take a picture with him. He was happy because I told him that I was a fashion blogger. He’s such a fun person! But I came to a conclusion that you cannot talk to a designer or an artist at a party, it’s so much better when it’s like a calm dinner or a regular event.

Haifa Wehbe, Nancy Ajram and her husband also attended the grand opening. Haifa was wearing a sparkly Roberto Cavalli dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. I said hi to her and she remembered my blog but it was hard to take a picture with her.

This is truly THE fashion event of 2013. I’m really happy to kick off a new year of fashion blogging with something like that. I met new people and had lots of fun. You should visit Cavalli Caffe in Downtown Beirut and enjoy a selection of the finest Italian cuisine.
