The millionaire minister who owns Patchi, wants to use “Deep Packet Inspection”, going into your personal devices and seeing what you’re doing for the stated purpose of stealing 6$ a month from you, with far scarier and more dangerous implications.

Given that this disgusting piece of shit government now registers IMEIs of mobile numbers, and bricks phones you got from abroad, the illegal mass surveillance teams must have had multiple orgasms after they heard about the plan to deploy deep packet inspection to the already compromised privacy and security of Lebanese people.

This means that they know each device’s owner, and with the technology they will deploy to steal from you for talking to your grandma on Whatsapp Call (or any VoIP), they will know what you are sending or doing and link each device to the IMEI database they have.

This is a disaster in every sense of the word.

Since our government dumbasses don’t care about our laws, and break them every day, we need to retaliate. If this rich asshole who just made tens of millions of dollars from the Touch building scandal in Downtown (and somehow isn’t in jail yet) wants to steal even more from us, then he can kiss the business that bought him his seat on the table goodbye.

DON’T BUY FROM PATCHI ANYMORE!

Share with your family and friends. Not as a gift, not as anything. If he wants to steal from us with this illegal, stupid and quite frankly terrifying “law”, then don’t part with whatever money you have him and his buddies haven’t taxed yet to his chocolate and jewelry and whatever business.

The second he resigns, or pulls this law at least, we can think about removing the boycott call on this once-loved local Lebanese brand.

You don’t want to touch your money, but want to take ours illegally? Well, kiss your Lebanese Patchi customers goodbye.

Enough.
